About Gateway Arch
The Gateway Arch is a 630-foot-tall stainless steel monument in St. Louis, Missouri. Completed in 1965, it honors Thomas Jefferson's vision of westward expansion. It serves as the centerpiece of Gateway Arch National Park.
Visitors can explore the free underground museum. The main attraction is the ticketed tram ride. Small pods carry up to five passengers to the top observation deck. Read more about Tram & Observation Deck.
Security lines get long in summer. Check Security Guide to speed up your entry. Advance tram tickets are highly recommended for peak months.
